2520 60\" or 72\"MMM

Can anyone let me know how they like the MMM on their JD2520. I'm thinking of going to a MMM so I can attach a Trac- Vac or some other material collection system. I will have to remove the mower often. If I go this way I'll have to get a set of R3s too.

Re: 2520 60\" or 72\"MMM

I have the 2520 with the 72MMM. I've mowed with it twice and have removed it about 3 times. The 72" is not a drive over deck and must be pulled out the side. Probably takes 10 minutes or so to either disconnect or connect. Slides out quickly if you have a front end loader and lift the front end up in the air. If not (I haven't done this yet) you have to remove the top of the left front wheel on the mower or it won't fit under the tractor. Not a big deal and if I had to do it again, I would still get the 72"MMM. I also have the R4 tires.

I have the 72"MMM and it does a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this mower deck.

I haven't taken it off yet. I will be taking it off when I get around to hooking up my tiller and working on the rest of my yard. I'm glad to hear it only takes minutes.

Re: 2520 60\" or 72\"MMM

I have the 62D drive-over deck and it is very fast and convenient to remove. I also have the independent lift.

I don't carry the loader when mowing (to reduce weight) and I don't usually carry the mower when loading (to avoid hanging the deck up on uneven terrain). The ease of removing both attachments was very important to me.

Now if those engineers could improve the 46 backhoe, I would be all set /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just wondering what needs improving?
