Having read a number of posts on the independent lift kit not truly being independent, when I ordered my 2520 I added the power beyond option thinking of adding a third SCV. However, there did not appear to be a great place to mount a third SVC. When I was at my local dealer I saw a multiplier value they had on display and we discussed how it worked. They found that Fasse made one for compact tractors like the 4115 so I had one ordered. I have finished installing the value kit on my new 2520 and thought that others might find this to be of interest.

This value takes one of the SCV on the tractor and splits it into two control ports, one of which I have dedicated to the independent lift. That leaves the two original ports for the loader etc. The joystick knob is replaced with a control handle that let’s you select the new port by a push of a button. If you go to the following web site you will find the kit I purchased, Omni 757-1550.

The kit comes with large couplers that I exchanged with the dealer for the smaller ones used on the 2520. A bracket to mount the unit is supplied but this required some modification to mount on the 2520. I welded the bracket to the Draft arm support bracket which mounts the value right in front of the foot rest and behind the loader mounting frame, well protected. I used the hydraulic hoses that came with the JD independent lift kit and routed them directly to the Fasse value. The only other connection is to a switched power source which I found at the fuse holder.

The kit takes a good day to install. Cost of the kit was $585 plus some miscellaneous hardware. With any luck I will attach some picture of the set up.

The hoses are not as low as they look, the loader hoses run in the same area.

I was concerned about the handle, but it has a good feel to it. I don’t find it any issue.
