Hi All,

Picked up my JD 2320 with the 62 mower on Friday and you guys were not kidding when you said I'd be impressed. WOW

Because I had previously picked up a used 200CX loader from a 2305, I was told I'd need different mounts for the 2320, which I bought at list price ($416). These were mounted by the dealer and when I got home and looked at the 2305 mounts I swear they are the same. I'll trial mount them maybe Monday based on possible feedback here.

I'm guessing the parts appeared different because the 2305 has an added belly brace and it is reasonable to assume the salesman wouldn't know this by the book part numbers. As it happens the mounts were somewhat scuffed up so I assume they were stolen from another 2320 or alternately they sold me a tractor with mounts minus its loader.

I'm wondering if anyone can actually confirm that these two mounts are identical before I pull them off. I would simply tell the dealer I don't need them since the information he gave was not correct and ask for $416 credit (they should not argue that they are now "used", since I distinctly noted to him that they were already scuffed up). It makes sense that they wouldn't likely have just loader mounts in stock so I'm pretty sure of this.

Any comments on whether I'm being unreasonable or can hope to succeed on this one??

Hi Jack:

Suggest you ask an Admin to move this into the JD Owning/Operating forum or repost it there yourself and ask to have it deleted from here.

I think KennyD will be your man. In my experience he is a JD wizard, but I don't think he patrols this forum as much.

Congrats on the new 2320 and good luck!

Thanks, I wasn't sure where to post, good idea. My thought was kind of the reverse of yours but I'm sure you are right.

I'm so impatient that I think I'm going to make the effort to do the swap and see what comes of it. Then I can report possibly useful information to other JD folk.

Thanks guys...

JDparts is your friend:thumbsup:

Here is the 2305 mounts part numbers:

And the first attached picture.

Here is the 2320:

Second attached picture.

So, it appears you are 100% correct. News for me, I though they where different also.

Thanks very much. I took a chance and installed them earlier today and of course we know they had to work.

Can I reasonably expect them to give me credit for the new ones since they gave me bad information? Anyone have a similar experience to judge by?

I would expect they would take them back...

Thanks kennyd!

The salesman kind of turned sour when I started commenting about $1100+ being unreasonable for a alternator swap and block heater on a new purchase. Then when we picked up the tractor (they were going to deliver it about 15 miles) he reluctantly provided me with 1 litre of tranny fluid as I explained that the used loader had probably leaked down (wanted me to pay). I had asked for a jug (thinking 4 litres).

In the case of the mounts my line will be "you said they were different, an honest mistake, so now I believe you should take them back". How much should I reasonably expect to lose (paid full list of $416) based on them having (presumably) installed them for me?

In case anyone's interested they took the mounts back less a $61 installation which is fair enough and it credits me with roughly $350. Not bad for mounts I thought I'd have trouble giving away!
