John Deere 2320
Looking at purchasing a 2320. Got a quote from local dealer for tractor and loader(200CX) for $15,500. Pretty decent discount off list. Go and talk to
him yesterday and ask about the Deere "2nd implement" discount. Ask if the Frontier RB2060 would qualify. He says "yup, no problem". Gives me a price of
$16155 for tractor, loader, and rear blade.
Get home and look at the numbers and don't see the additional Deere $1000 discount for the 2nd implement. Email him this morning and get told, "no additional discount'. What am I missing? Is the ballast box considered an implement? I thought adding the RB should get me down to $15115. Thanks.

List price for the 2320 is 13,723.00 off of jd website, don't quote me but I think the 200cx loader list is around 3200.00. There's not much there off of list and no, a ballast box is not considered a implement. I think to qualify for the 1,000 rebate each of the two implements have to list for a least 1,000.

Implement Bonus:
Requires the purchase of two or more John Deere or Frontier implements (John Deere Loaders qualify as 1 implement). One bonus for each tractor retail sold with two or more qualifying implements. See administrative notes for additional details.
Qualifying implements are any implements ordered by base machine code or Frontier equipment, such as front blades, box blades, rotary cutters, etc. Individual attachments that have a MDP greater than $750, such as a 4-in-1 bucket, may also qualify for the implement bonus.

Individual attachments are not implements. Any Frontier implement qualifies as one item - even the least expensive rear blade.

Example: 2320 with 200CX and RB2060 would qualify for $1,000.00
2520 with 200CX and RB2060 would qualify for $2500.00

Thanks guys. I think this dealer is trying the "bait and switch". Gave me the low price of $15500 for tractor and loader and then says he "accidentally" gave me the $1000 discount with only 1 implement. I think I'll keep shopping around.

Don't dismiss the dealer too quickly. All these "deals" are hard to keep straight. I've had experiences where a dealer clearly made an honest mistake and overcalculated the discounts, but then split the difference with me.

I just finished a quote for a 2520 with 200CX and 62D (with Independent Lift and the Diverter) and it came out basically right at $18,400.00

Dont need a MMM? 2520 & 200CX = $14,900.00 plus add whatever implement you want/need, say an RB2072 at $750.00 for a total of $15,650.00

IMHO any dealer that is messing around / screwing around with the bonuses Deere is offering right now is plain stupid. You can (for a little while longer) get a 2520 for the price of a 2320, and a 2320 for not much more than the old 2305. I guess some just cant get over thier greed. Every penny of the bonuses are included in all of my customer's deals.

I agree w/ the last post. As a former JD dealer it is hard to keep track of all the programs, as they change often, and then to change a deal mid-stream can cause more errors. Go back and have him start over w/ the two implements, loader and blade. I don't think he's messing w/ you, just confusing.

If he was at 15,500 w/ tractor & ldr., then by adding a blade for say $650 then it should be 15,500 + 650= 16,150 less the thousand which should be 15,150. That's my take on it or how I figured it when there was an implement discount.

TT - my understanding is that the dealer is now saying that the original pricing INCLUDED the Implement Bonus on accident.

Yes, I think so. Even I'm confused now!

Exactly my figuring as well. That's why I questioned the dealer. If I take list for the tractor, $13723 (including $250 del) + loader at $3683 (includes ballast box and 53" bucket) = $17406. From what I've read here, dealer discounts run around 10-12%. Taking 10% off brings me to $15666. Adding the RB at full list of $655 = $16321 and subtracing the $1000 implement discount is $15321.
Not trying to question the dealers honesty, but the numbers don't add up.
Thanks for the input.
