John Deere 2320
I just bought a new 2320 after having an x485 for 5 years, boy am I glad I made the jump to this tractor. Can anyone tell me the total height of this tractor with a Curtis soft sided cab. I realize I will have to fold the ROPS bar to get this into my garage (7" door) but am concerned about the cab height. Maybe someone out there has one. Also can I reverse my rear wheels to make the tractor narrower? I will have a 47" snowblower on it. We have lots of snow here in northern maine. 200 inches last winter My local JD dealer says I can't. This is my first posting and I love this site.:)

Welcome to TBN:D

I am about 90% sure the cab does not change the overall height...I think it mounts under the ROPS. I also do not think you will be able to fold the ROPS with the cab installed.

Your owners manual should list the possible wheel settings for the different tires options than can be utilized.

Blower width is some thing I've been complaining about for years. The 47 snowblower was designed for the 425 garden tractor and is now used right up to the 2520. I have a 4110 and the wheels are 6" wider than the blower. Nobody at Deere seems to understand that doesn't work very well. They need a new blower about 56" wid for these newer and bigger tractors.

I have been looking at a 3520 with a soft Curtis Cab. On it, the top of the cab seems to be about 4" lower than the top of the ROPS. I can't say for sure if the ROPS could be folded, but my guess is not.

Overall, I'll say that I think the cab seems pretty decent. The doors are less flimsy than I expected, the windshield seems pretty decent, and the heater seemed to put out a pretty good deal of heat (of course it was 80 degrees outside). The only real downside I saw was that on this model, the fuel cap was on the hood directly in front of the windshield. To fill it, you had to unlatch the windshield (seemed pretty easy), and then fuel from the inside - seems strange.

Good luck.

I just stumbled across the curtis industried website that has cab installation directions for most of the John Deere tractors...looks like I will be able to fold down the ROPS bar on my 2320 to get it into the garage. The ROPS bar is not attached to the cab itself on this model...If some of you are wondering about these cabs, check out this site and download the instructions for your specific tractor...Hope this helps some of you.
