2310 Steering Cylinder

When performing service on my tractor at 450 hours, I noticed that the steering cylinder in front of the front axle, moves slightly when the steering wheel is turned backwards and forths. Has anyone else notived this with their's? It appears to me that this should not move and should rest firmly between the bolt on side retaining plates.
