So far the backhoe is working good. I have been digging in 2 places for sewer lines. I am trenching for a propane line to my building and digging a trench drain for my barn. The recent weather has been good. The ground here is soft and a little wet, but not too wet. The hoe goes right down and digs fine. It is probably slow compared to larger units, but I'm in no hurry. I like to do it myself to get better results and a nicer job and I know that will take me more time than a professional.
It takes a litle time to get familiar with a backhoe. This is my first time running one. I have about 2 hours on it and I'm starting to get it. I started in some areas where there's nothing around to damage by moving a control the wrong way.
The breakout force seems good. I've taken the bucket down about 4 feet and curled it right up to break through all the way up with no problem.
To me it's amazing what this tractor will do with the hoe and loader. I dug a trench, repaired a broken sewer line, dug out sod, and leveled a parking area that will accomodate 3 RV's in one afternoon. It's nice to have the hoe for ballast now. I can put 3 solid cement blocks in the hoe bucket and carry a loader full of stone with no problem.
One thing I have not done is remove/reinstall the hoe. It should be quick like the CX200. I will follow up when I do that a few times.
