I've read a lot that putting the x series wheel spacers on the rears does a lot to help with stability.

My questions:

Would putting them on the front also help?

Would using the Bro-Tek spacers (2" vs JD's 1") be a better idea or is that too much on the axle? Maybe 1" on the front and 2" on the rear?

I know there are no definitive answers on this, but I am interested in opinions.

I've got the 1 inch front and back. Have also turned the front wheels around so valve stem is on the inside. Made a big difference to me.

You may need to be careful with your mower deck and guide wheels if you use one.

Have you noticed any problems on the front? Turning radius issues? Cracks? Are the bolt holes on the wheels slightly flanged, and if so, have they been crushed or flattened?

Deere Says: "All front wheels and tires on the 2305 Tractor (industrial and turf) are one (1) position wheels. Front wheels should never be put in widest position"

I ran them front and rear on my 2210. I had to modify the left mower idler wheel (rear) out 1" on the 54" deck. You wouldn't have to do this on the 62" deck. I ran them on the front so I could use tire chains. Fronts won't add stability due to the pivoting axle.

I'll need to add chains in 6 months. Seeing as how Deere says "no chains on front wheel" and "no spacers" and "no flipping the front wheels" I might as well grab a pair of scissors and go for a run while I'm at it.

My 2305 manual states:

Tread Width @ Centerline (Minimum)
Front (Only Wide Position Recommended) 1005 mm (39.6 in.)

This is the width with the wheels swapped. I run them swapped for tire chain clearance.
