2305 using 5' Brush Hog?

Anyone have a photo or link of a 2305 hooked up to a 5 foot brush hog/rotoary cutter? (if interested) A photo of a BX 24 with one is Here

I don't have a picture of one but I think you would be going pretty slow with a 5' RC. We only have a 6' RC and have that on a tractor with 40 PTO hp. I think you might also have some issues with weight unless it was a very light duty cutter. You might find you woulod get more cut with a slightly smaller RC going faster than a bigger one going slower depending on your ground conditions IMHO.

I wouldn't put anything above a 4 footer on either a 2305 Deere or 2350 Bota. Just because someone else is doing it, doesnt mean it is the sensible thing to do. That a lot of stress on a little machine.

How much ground are you going to be mowing? I mow 6 acres with a 4 foot hog and 44 inch mower. The 1.5 acres around the house get the mower and the fields get either the hog or mower.

At 18 PTO HP, you are on the low end of using that 5' cutter, but it can be done (I did it with 16.5 PTO HP).

It really depends on what you're cutting. You'd have to make partial passes on the thicker stuff and probably go pretty slow.

Transporting the cutter raised would be tricky (cutter weight would be close to 50% of your tractor's weight), but you can always tow, rather then transport.
