Price Check 2305 Price Check

I was wandering around the local dealership during lunch and saw a new 2305 on the lot. Tag said "List $16,500 Sells for $14,850 with 60" MMM + Loader"

Does this sound in the ball park? I'm not really looking to buy right now, just curious if this dealer sounded high or not. Also mentioned payments of $320/month.

I was given a quote last week for a 2305 with a 62" MMM and 200CX loader for $13,775.00 plus tax. No other options. This was without any negotiation.
List price is $15,410.00 unless it has the independent mower lift which would add another $140.00 to the list. There must have been other options with the one you saw for it to have a list price of that much. The list price I quoted above is straight from the John Deere website configurator.

I just looked at the configurator - I got a total of $15,7XX with 2305, 62" MMM with independent lift and 200CX loader. Perhaps there were other options not listed? Some of our lab technicians run cattle and do other farming on the side, and they've said that the Kubota/New-Holland dealer in town is usually high. Maybe the JD dealer is generally high also. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they gave a list price that anyone can verify on the JD website.

Assuming $16,500 IS the correct list price, is $14,8XX an appropriate selling price? Like I said I'm not shopping right now, but it's good to know if this dealer tends to be too high when I do start looking for a tractor.

That would be 10% off list. I think most folks can get 13% off list so you should be able to talk him down at least another $500.00 or so. My deal was
$9600.00 for the tractor
$1700 for the mower and attaching parts
$2424 for the 200CX loader.
