2305 loss of power

I was using my power broom in the driveway after about an inch snow before our company arrived for Sunday dinner, it did a great job. The only problem I had was a sudden loss of power three or four occasions, broom was not under a major load or strain. It only lasted a couple seconds each time but his concern because I will be attaching the 47 snowblower soon.

Any thoughts or similar experiences would be appreciated.

How long since fuel filter was changed and fuel flow from tank checked?

Unless I am mistaken, he is talking about engine loss of power, not hydraulic.

The tractor came with a house I purchased in August of this year.
Maintenance records indicated ahead and serviced in the spring of 2013, the tractor only had 131 hours.
I have only had to mow the lawn 2 or 3 times at about an hour each and used the power broom on the driveway twice.
Should I check in with my dealer for complete service?
Or do it my self?
I'm pretty handy.

could also be fuel gelling up... with that limited use have you bought new fuel since it turned cold?

In the fall they start adding ant-gel to diesel fuel.. If you havent bought fuel since the summer that could be the issue

Never thought of the fuel gelling up, and I should have, I have had a Duramax diesel for years.
I will change the filter and get some additive.

Also don't forget to check the air cleaner when loss of power happens. If it is dirty, it usually comes with gradual loss of power and black smoke from diesel engines and doesn't come and go like you described.
