To thoes of us in the midwest that find our selves moving snow this week, if you have been thinking of buying a cab I have to tell you to just do it. I bought mine last week and spent some time today moving snow in 30 mph winds and I worked up a sweat doing it in shirt sleaves. The heater starts throwing heat in 2 minutes and after a while I had to turn the defrost fan on but I was very comfortable.

Neat looking little setup!

Very nice.
Now you've done it. I've been through three winters with the 47" snowthrower. This fall, I'll have to add one.

I know what you mean, sometimes I hate this forum. Cost too much to participate.:)

Ok, I know I probably should not ask but what was the cost and what did it include. I can hear the wife already!:D

I already made it known that I want to get one for this winter. I've been enduring the last two wearing a ski suit and goggles. When that wind shifts and the snow doubles back on ya, it's just miserable. Miserable!

How is the visibility from inside the cab? I'm thinking mainly of the visibility down to the left and right edges of the snowblower. How about backing up?

Regarding your pictures, WHERE'S THE SNOW, ha ha?

The visibility is impaired but I can get used to it. The heater blocks the little window on the left and when I drive onto the trailer I can't see the rear wheels to make sure they are centered on the ramps. Curtis doesn't offer a floor mat so I had to make my own to cover the holes where the petals go through. I cut down one of the shipping blankets that came with the cab to put under the seat to cover the holes there. That made a big difference in comfort on windy days. I can't brag on the price, my dealer is 2 miles away and several years ago they quit making "deals". Now it is pretty much retail price on everything. I even have to buy my own hats!

Well, I'll say one thing about that cab, it sure is good looking. I've seen some on the market that are hideous.

One more question; How long do you think it takes to install/remove from season to season?

For whoever was asking about price, here is a place advertising the cabs.

The first one will take about 7 hours plus what ever accessories you get. The heater took an additional 2 hours. If you do a second one maybe 5 hours will get it done.
