anyone have a cab? I live south of Buffalo NY and get a lot of snow. My driveway is 205' and my front yard is at the end of a driving range (live on a gulf course) so I get a lot of drifting. Curtis cabs seem very nice but very pricey. I have seen a soft cab that I am unsure of the name of for around $700 on shopgreendealer.com anyone every buy one or know anyone that has? just wondering if its decent enough to get me by. Any help would would be great.

Thanks in advance!

The "cheap" cab is called a Original Tractor Cab - Sunshade

The get mixed reviews, but I think they re a good value from everything I have read about them. Lots of threads on them if you search;)

I bought one a year ago from the same dealer that you mentioned. Good customer service from ShopGreenDealer and from what I could find, they had the cheapest prices on the net. In fact, their prices are cheaper than from factory direct from Original Tractor Cab.
They are a soft side enclosure with a hard top. I also purchased the front glass windshield and wiper. Once installed, I put on front and rear worklights.

For the most part, it worked pretty good. Definately keeps you out of the blowing snow and wind. But, you still had to dress warmly. The only issue that I had was the inside of the windshield and plastic windows would fog up, making it difficult to see. To solve this, I rigged up my own heat to heat the inside of the cab. Problem solved. I spent many hours moving snow last year with my 2305 with OriginalTractorCab and did not have any issues. Would not go back to an open tractor to move snow. I don't have any pics of the 2305 with the cab on, but, it looks just like what's on the dealer web site. I think they say 4-6 hours for installation. Plan on an entire day. The instructions are not real great.

I have since purchased a JD2520 and put on a Curtis Cab and heat for moving snow. I still have the 2305 and will use it as a back up to the 2520 for moving snow.
