I have done some searching but havent found my answer. I am thinking of getting a King Kutter subsoiler but not sure if I should get the Orange XB or the Yellow KK subsoiler. So can the 2305 handle the XB at full depth and if so how deep is that. And can it handle the Yellow subsoiler at full depth and how deep is it and able to transport it in the raised postion.

Gonna use it in the fall before running the tiller over the garden.

the xb line is designed with tractors like the 2305 in mind, go with that series. the big difference is actually transport height, xb stuff will get up off the ground higher. as for pulling it, don't see any issue especially in an established garden.

I have a 2320 and a king kutter sub soiler(the yellow one) In order for me to drive around with this in the raised position I have to set my lift arms on my 3pt to the highest they can go, and even then I only have about 4 inches of clearance. I dont think your tractor having less ground clearance than mine will be able to raise it up enough to be able to drive with out digging in. As for digging depth for the Yellow one I think its about 14inches, If you want to know exact I can run out tomorrow and measure it for you. When I was at Tractor Supply I was able to look at the two side by side and there is a major size difference between the two. I would definitely stick with the XB series for your tractor.

I have a 2305, and bought the "yellow" subsoiler to make a ditch for electrical cable. The point barely clears level ground with three point hitch fully raised. It did the job for me, but you will not be able to drive over unlevel ground. Go with the shorter shaft.

I have the shorter one from Tractor Supply (Made by Farmforce / Hawkline)
In compacted undisturbed soil, it becomes an anchor that the 2305 won't pull.
I have been thinking about modifying it a bit to make it easier to pull if I can't borrow one of my neighbors "big" tractors.
I don't know where in Indiana you are located, but if you are near Indianapolis, you're welcome to borrow mine and give it a try.

I have the KK Yellow Sub soiler on my 2210. Works fine for me. We pulled 400' of water Line this year, and it worked like a champ. But others are correct there is not a lot of clearance with the Lift arms fully raised.

Having a 210 with yellow subsoiler, I agree with Maxfli: useful tool that works like a champ, not a lot of clearance.

I have the XB sub soiler/ middle buster combo on a 2210 and it fits well. Can get it high enough to transport and it will rip down ~ 10".

I've pulled through a few hundred feet of southern Indiana clay without much trouble. It learched on a few tree roots (I hope) but other than that rips right through. 4 40 pound suitcase weights help settle it down. I have found that it's a lot like a single bottom plow in that there is a "sweet spot" in the top link adjustment for getting good depth and easy pulling. After about 10 minutes I had it dialed and ripping like a dream. A hydraulic top link makes finding it faster but I don't have one on this tractor ..yet.

I got the yellow one from TSC last year and am very happy with it. It was a little under sized for the 5400 but built sturdy enough I can't hurt it. I can however pull it fully buried with no problem.

I am just east of Kokomo. The ground has been farmed for many many years and I am taking over some to extend the yard and to put in a about a 60x60 garden. I guess I will find an XB model.

I have used both a 3 shank DMI on a JD 4440 and a 5 shank Case on a JD 4850 and I love nothing more than running a subsoiler. They will truly show you how much HP you got.
