I am seriously thinking of making on offer on the 2005 2210 with 140 hours at local dealer. It has 54" MMM and quick detach FEL. The dealer is "asking"
11500. What is it worth and what should I offer???

Thanks for all the input.

Seems high to me. Dealers are running good deals this time of year with low financing. I'd shop a new comparable sub cut in your area first. Plus you get the 3 year warranty. Check Buckies review in the reviews section. May give u some insight.

My .02 cents

I agree - this sounds a little high.

I believe $10,500 would be another story. If you can keep him under 11k you're probably ok.

You should be in the mid-13's for the same 2305 setup new. Couple that with the full 3 years of warranty, having a new unit, 0% financing if needed and I'd either buy new or see if the price on that 2210 can go down.

I'd say $10K would be a good place to start.

I just bought a 2210 with 62" MMM and 76 hours for $7,500 from the original owner who bought it new in 2005. Two local dealers wanted $9,900 for similar machines. A similarly equipped 2305 was quoted to me from $11,300 to $11,600 plus sales tax. I am located in the greater St. Louis area if that makes any difference as to pricing.

No doubt - great deal organgrinder. At $7500 the guy took a huge bath. Why in the world would he sell it so cheap? He could drop it at a dealer lot on consignment and come out quite a bit ahead (I would think).

The seller was very motivated by a divorce. From what I could see, he was selling most of what he had, including the house. I found the tractor on ebay, went to see it since it was only 25 miles away, talked with the owner, learned his reserve price, etc. Then I made my bid in the last few seconds and won. Picked up the tractor the next day. From his perspective, ebay was a lot quicker and easier than dickering with a dealer, getting the tractor picked up by the dealer, etc. As they say, timing is everything!

Pargolf....$11,500 seems really high, especially with the smaller deck. The going rate in my area is $10,800-$11,000 at the top end. New 2305's can be had for $14k'ish or less WITH the 62c deck. I recently got a quote on a new 2305, 62c, & 200cx at $13,700. With the 0% financing... it tough not to go that route.

Oran grinder... terrific find! Put me 1st in like to make your profit on. :D
