2210 Smoking and has little power.

My 2210 started smoking more than usual. And it has little power. I checked the coolant. It's level isn't low, nor is it off colored. I checked the oil. And it's high on the dip stick and thin. I then drained some out off the pan, and didn't see any water, and it's not murky looking or anything. I'm suspecting fuel in the oil. this is where I'm stumped. Where do I go from here? What to check next? It has a little over 700hrs on it I think. I've had it for about three years and it's been a good one so far.

Could be fuel from the injector pump leaking or transmission/hydraulic fluid from the pump. If it is the injector pump leaking I would think you could smell the diesel in the oil. From your symptoms it sounds like the injector pump. If so, I would think rebuild or a new pump are your options.

Thanks for the reply. could it also be the injectors? And how would I go about checking the injector pump?

Injectors could only leak excess into the cylinder, could not cause diesel to get into the crank case. "IF" your are confident it is diesel getting in the crankcase the test has been done. You will have to be the one to determine if this is the case.

You might check the "O" rings on top of your pump, and under the fuel pipes. If they're worn, damaged or brittle from age, the will leak down into the crankcase.

Yes Winston1 that makes since. Sometimes we make problems out to be bigger than they might be. At least I do. lol And I'll check the o rings.If It ever stops raining here.
