Hi all...Been a long time since I showed my face here.

Quick post on hydraulic line replacement. The hoses from my loader valve to the splices in the factory steel lines were starting to go, and I am anticipating that I'm going to need a clutch soon and wanted to facilitate splitting the tractor. So I decided to replace/convert all the lines, while adding in some quick disconnects and a pressure relief valve.

I purchased the hydraulic hose adapter kit, and in years past a pressure relief valve from Hoye. Here's a link to the adapter kit:
HYDRAULIC HOSE ADAPTER KIT (replace your steel line): Yanmar Tractor Parts

I don't see the pressure relief valve listed anymore..but I'm sure one could be sourced.
I purchased four sections of 3/8" assembled hose, two sets of quick disconnects, and various adapters from discounthydraulic.com.

Install went smooth, but I chose to cut the old steel line in order to get it out from under the tractor. NOTE: Hoye's kit came with a 90 degree elbow that went from NPT to male JIC -6. I chose to purchase a 90 degree elbow that went from NPT to Female JIC -6. It was easier for me to find a JIC -6 'T' that had male ends. I also reused the Banjo bolt that was on the tractor - it was a bit longer than the one in the kit and was of Yanmar quality steel.

My old hydraulic lines (from loader to steel lines) were 1/2" so I was a bit concerned with a drop in performance/speed with the new 3/8" lines. I haven't really noticed a decrease.

With the new setup I can disconnect the lines from the loader and reconnect straight through to the three point - take the loader off and still run the tractor. With the addition of the quick disconnects and my memory/attention to detail/teenage son the pressure relief valve is a essential item. If you forget to connect them, or if you didn't connect them properly it will help protect your pump from being dead headed.

It has been some time since we have seen you. I have been wanting to do something like this to my 2210d. Nice work. Just need to find the pressure release valve now. You should post some pictures after you remove the loader too.

Nice installation. I am sure it will work great. Most factory loader installations the loader valve stays on the tractor and disconnects are taken loose at the valve. That way no need for an extra relief valve as the loader valve has one in it.

Well...might need a different pressure relief. Scratching a hole with the bucket for some rasberries. It didnt happen at first. But I noticed that now i am blowing oil out pressure release every time i dump the bucket.

Im going to buy a pressure gauge so i can see what im working with...

Caveat -The dump on my valve block has, for a while, made the tractor engine strain... Ive just been afraid to take it apart to clean and cant find a rebuild for it.20200428_190317.jpg
