2018 Yanmar YT359 and new Woods BH-90x backhoe won't work together???

gkluck, if Woods or Yanmar will not provide the info or can't provide it then my thinking you need to either find one to copy or a shop who is smart enough and have worked with such before. It would not surprise me to find someone on TBN who has one and could provide pictures and measurements. Now the type of steel and the thickness if tubing probably not.

It sure does seem if they had them in stock they would sell them (the frame). Surely they are not just going to keep them taking up space for ever.

Hi eekbin. Any suggestions from your local dealer? I wonder if the 3 point mounting kit is a viable option. Is a Yanmar YT359 rated to handle a Woods BH90x mounted with a 3 point mounting kit? Woods sells a 3 point mounting kit for the BH90X. I believe the kit number is 1012606.

Sorry, missed this response and never got a call back from the dealer to remind me to come back here. I'm not fond of the 3pt hitch method; that backhoe can easily lift the back of the tractor and throw it around. I suspect Yanmar does not want the B90 to compete against other sources of the BH90. Yet I think that given you are a Yanmar customer, they should have the grace to at least give you an option to buy the adapter, even if at a higher price to off-set not selling you a B90.
I could try taking some pictures and measurements for you if you want to got that route. You'd have to leave your email here, in a post. Then when I respond to you directly, you'd want to come back and edit the post to remove it, so that you don't get spam.

ok so I once upon a time I was a Service Manager at Cabela's Powersports we sold TYM tractors badged under the Cabela's name all our implements where provided by Woods Implements same scenario we had a customer and his son buy two LM43 tractors one with backhoe. The customers wanted to buy the mounting frame and Woods stated they could not sell just the frame hey had to buy the complete backhoe assembly with mounting frame they told the customer it was Cabela's that did not want to do to liability issues we in turn contacted Woods with customer present and they explained to us it was actually Woods that did not sell frames separately and due to circumstances they told customer it was Cabela's issue because it was sold as a Cabela's implement with Cabela's name on the implement

Any reason this can't work...

Here's my latest bright idea to be able to use my Woods BH90X backhoe, since using it with my YT359 apparently is not an option. A few months ago I bought a 2001 John Deere 260 skid steer. Love it, love it, love it.

So what if...
1. I bought a skid steer to 3 pt transition plate like this... Eterra Quick Hitch Fixed 3-Point Adapter Attachment | Skid Steer Solutions
2. Then bought the woods 3 point adapter for the BH90X... Woods Equipment 16 Users Manual 3 Point Mounting Kit BH9 X
3. I could buy the hydraulic lines and adapters locally and connect the backhoe to the SSL hydraulics.

Am I missing something? The usual issue with a 3 point attachment for a backhoe is breaking the tractor in half. I know my skid steer won't break in half.

All advice/input is appreciated.

I sold it to a neighbor who had a different brand of tractor. I'm still disappointed it didn't work out. It would have really come in handy today.

I would consider having one fabricated if it was for a reasonable price. As I mentioned above, Yanmar refuses to provide the information on their sub-frames so I'm not sure where to begin. I'd hate to get in too deep in this project.
