Yesterday, I hopped on the Branson for the first time in a couple of months. Jumped her with my portable starter and she fired right up but the fuel gauge and tach aren't working. The panel lights all work fine and the temp gauge is working.

This morning, I pulled the panel fuse which kills power to the entire panel as I figured. I'm thinking there may be a common ground for the two indicators but haven't looked at the electrical diagram yet.

Anyone experience anything similar? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Have you seen any rodent activity?

I’ve replace 6 Branson clusters. Might be something else but usually isn’t.

If I have to replace the whole cluster, I'll probably just live with it.

If the issue is indeed on the dash, there are places that can fix those as well. It's usually just some broken solder joints of various components.

My son is an electronics engineer, I’m sure that would be within his capabilities.

Have you actually had this done with a Branson cluster? I tried but found most said they couldn’t do it, a couple said they “could” but had never fixed this exact one and the estimate wasn’t much less than a new one from Branson to be worth taking a risk on.

If you know a place in the USA please share it with us.

Never had to do it myself, but I know there are places here in Portugal that would do it. They do it even on much more complex clusters from some of the vehicles we have here, like German vehicles and what not.

In the Branson case, sometimes even unplugging the cluster and plug back in will take care of some of these weird issues.
