2015HST No cranking or glow plug light

Hi guys,

I am new to the site, but let me start by saying what a great group of people to get knowlege from. I have a 2004 2015HST (never had a problem) until this past weekend. When I turn the key on I get no glow plug light and it does not crank. The glowplug relay and the timer are getting juice and the battery is good as well. When I check for juice at the glow plugs I get nothing but the wire has continuity on my meter. Does anyone think it is a safety switch not working?

There is a connection when u put the tractor in neutral. Look down in there and you will see a contact point. When I had mine one of the wires broke on that contactor and it wouldnt start. Cant remember if the glow plugs worked then. Also check that the pto's didn't get bumped.

Check your safety switches for mid and rear PTO's. Also make sure HST is in neutral. Any one of these will prevent it from cranking. I have an 04 2615HST, In warm weather its not uncommon for the glow plug light to not light up since it's not needed. Once my engine is warm or on an 80 plus degree day my glow plug light does not come on.

Glow plugs and cranking circuits are separate. If you can't crank it over it's probably a safety switch.

How did you determine that the battery was good? If you find no safety switch issue look long and hard at that battery.
