Okay, haven't been on forum for awhile. My searches haven't helped. I have a 2015hst I bought in 05' new. I recently had an issue with poor starting and finally had to replace 1 glow plug. So I went ahead and replaced all three. Parts guy says there is now a kit I need to replace timer and sells for $400 in order to preheat the plugs enough. Until I had to replace the glow plugs I never had an issue with starting. Glow plugs would heat for about 5 secs. and engine would start right up. Since I replaced glow plugs I notice heat lamp on dash only stays on for about 2 secs and engine starts but not like before. With winter coming I am sure this will not be enough to start when engine cold. I usually keep tractor inside garage too. Has anyone else ran into this issue and can this timer kit be bought cheaper? I am told there are 2 kits and one is higher in cost than other. Any help out there would be appreciated. My phone is 540-471-6428.

I see you already found another thread on this and replied to Galen. You might want to send him a PM if you haven't done so. I see he hasn't posted since Jan. this year. I hope he's just busy and nothing has happened to him or his business. His phone number is also posted in the thread so give them a call if you get no reply.

I noted in that thread that I bought my conversion kit from him for my 2004 2615HST. Prior to buying the kit I went through 2 sets of glow plugs at over $90 a set. That's 3 sets, the original set plus 2 more that went bad in a 10 year period. That was over 5 years ago. My 2615 had the short 3-5 second timer. The new conversion kit was a very easy install and extends the glow plug time to about 10 seconds for easier winter starts. The new kit I installed was still working fine after 4 years then I sold the 2615 over 2 years ago for a larger cabbed tractor.

The earlier 2015's had fast glow plugs about 2 to 3 seconds, nice feature for faster starting in certain areas, but in cold areas such as us in the Northeast, they heated up quickly and cooled off just as quick. The update kit includes a 10 second timer, a short harness to connect the timer to the harness and 3, 10 second glow plugs. Althought they take a little longer to heat up, they retain the heat longer as well. They also seem to last longer.
We have sold a bunch of these kits and generally have them instock. You should need the single kit more than likely, we have yet to have sold a 2 plug kit.
Here is the link to the single kit. http://parts.mahindrausa.com/dealerview/SubmitOrder.aspx
If we can help you further please feel free to give us a call or shoot me a message on here.
