2015 Massey Ferguson 2615 FWD not engaging

I can not get the fwd to engage in my 2615 I've read the Manuel all it says to do is push the lever down and I'll see the light on the dash turn on to show that it's engaged. When I push it down it only moves down about 1/2 an inch no light comes on. Am I as stupid as I feel or is there something that I'm missing I'm lost. Any info would be nice thank you

It's a lever under the seat or alongside? I forget already. I owned a 2615. I put it in gear and moved the tractor slightly and pulled it into front assist. I think I had the same issue. Like a transfer case on a picky four wheel drive land cruiser or Scout, sometimes you need to move a tad for the sweet spot....

On my 1529 the lever will only engage with a little movement as well. Rock back and forth a couple of times like onceacop said.

Agree -- a little bit of movement (in gear) will let you engage the FWD. Many tractors are that way. That is why I like electro-mechanical engagement and would look for that feature if I replace my main machine. With those you press (or pull) a knob and forget it. The system takes care of engagement.

Agree some you just got to let it find the gear..

Also most of those levers have a simple adjustment system on it that may need to be tweaked a bit to give the lever more travel
