Tractor
2007 Mahindra 2015 Gear 4wd.
Hello , This has probably been discussed a million times but here goes anyway. Just bought my first tractor, a used 2015 that was a steal of a deal from agricredit with only 216 hrs. It has a front end loader and a 2710 backhoe on it. The only thing wrong with it was it was missing a backhoe tooth ( already replaced it ) and the float position for the loader wouldn't stay in the detent. I "tig" welded the tapered plunger and refitted it and added new ball bearings from true value and now my float position works like a charm. Serviced the entire tractor and greased everything. Now I am landscaping our 2 acre property around our new home, and need some implement's. I want to be sure I don't buy implement's that would be too large and bog down the tractor. Please help me out with the following sizes of implement's. Box blade- 48", 54" or 60"? Back blade-5 foot or 6 foot? Landscape rake-5 foot or 6 foot? Tiller48"? Anyone ever use a subsoiler or middlebuster with a 2015 ? My 2015 is a gear drive model and runs great. Making a lawn out of an old horse pasture. Also have a 340 foot modified driveway and will need to do snow removal in the winter. Thanks alot for all help and opinions, Ken.

I have a 2015 with the front-end loader and backhoe. Here is what size implements I have:

Box Blade - 60" Woods
Rear Blade - 72-inch Woods RB Series
Landscape Rack - 72-inch Tarter Flimsy Series

I maintain about a half-mile of driveway, winter and summer in the WV mountains. Those size implements work very well with this tractor.

I have no problem tugging the box blade through new ground, or pulling it up a steep hill full of gravel. Anything bigger might be difficult though.

It has absolutely no problem handling the 72 inch rear blade and 72-inch landscape rake. In both cases, it could probably handle larger sizes, but I'd be afraid that it would really limit the accessibility of where I'm using this small tractor.

I've done a lot of landscaping with these and some additional implements.

Oh, and I have a 4-foot Howes rough cut rotary mower (brushhog) which is just about right. Previously I had a 6-foot Woods finish mower, which it also handled without any problem.

Knute, Thanks for the reply !! Somehow I had a feeling you would reply after reading some previous post's. I kinda figured my 2015 gear would handle a 6foot rear blade and rake. Maybe I just needed a little reassurance. I am leaning toward's a rear blade instead of a box blade as I will also use it for snow removal. We get quite a bit of snow up here in Pa. also. And a rear blade is an all around usefull tool. Doing quite well smoothing dirt with my loader but I am definately going to get a 6 foot landscape rake. Was considering a 5 foot rear blade but read ( by you I think ) that when angled it wouldn't completely cover your track's. Didn't want to go too wide for accessability reason's as you mentioned. May buy a blade and rake this week and can't wait. Love my new tractor and thank's again. Ken.
