2014 M7060 Parking Brake Sticks

Hi everyone, I took delivery of a gently used 2014 M7060 with 400 hours on Saturday and while it is a wonderful machine I do have one issue. The parking brake is engaged via the gear shifter, it slides up and left into a special position. It goes in easily, BUT it doesn't like to come out. It takes a lot of finagling and wrestling to get it out, and then will just suddenly pop out like is nothing.

I've stopped using it until I can figure this out, and I'll call my dealer that sold me the tractor today - but I wonder if anyone else had been this. It took me a good 15 minutes of banging, swearing, and rocking with the loader to get out off last time, and I now just won't use it at all.

I spoke w/ the dealer who spoke with the regional distributer and they are baffled by this problem. Suggested I spray lubricate all the linkages with a good penetrating spray lubricant. I'll try that this weekend and will report back in case anyone else has this problem.

Do you have to apply the foot brake first by chance before attempting to move the gear shift lever? My quad is like that

I don't believe so no. I tried nearly everything, fully depressing the clutch, the foot brake. The one thing that seems to get it loose is rocking the whole machine back and forth gently (as possible) with the loader. That eventually seems to let it come out. But it's almost just like magic when it does. It's rock solid jammed, and then boom, it's out. It a mystery. I'm actually a little afraid to put it back in park even to test the cleaning/lubrication thing. It's been getting worse and worse and if it gets stuck again, I'm not convinced I'll be able to get it out.

Drenching all the linkages in PB Blaster has no impact on the usability of the parking brake. It just sticks when it's put in place. It's impossible to use conveniently. Super frustrating.

Hope you find out what the problem is. I'm looking at buying one of these and don't want to have the same issue.

Based I everything I have read and heard I think this is a fairly unique problem and not an overarching kubota problem. Just one if those things. . .

does the ebrake linkage involve a cable or is it all solid arm/rod? i just replaced a sticking cable to my hyd shuttle. if yours is cable related, it could be the problem. just drenching w/lube or cleaner may not penetrate adequately to solve the sticking issue

Quick update: the Kubotas have a number of linkages connecting to the parking brake that must all be perfectly right to work smoothly. This one was out of alignment. A trip to the shop and now it's perfect. Kind of a bummer on a "new to me" tractor, but at least an easy fix.
