2013 LS XU5065 Filters

Hello Everyone,

I just went to my local small town parts supplier for new filters on my 2013 XU5065 LS tractor and had to spend $40.50 for # 4028325 filter and $17.50 for # 40283380. As we know this cost can add up.

My owners manual shows where and how to change the filters but fails to supply part numbers or any other brands to choose from.

Having spent some time online trying to cross reference these part numbers to Wix, Baldwin, NAPA, Fram type filters, I have not had any luck. I was going to contact these filter manufacturers direct and see if maybe they would have a non listed filter for this application but saw this forum and thought I would give it a try.

I'm not sure if this 2013 model LS can also use the older model filters you have listed on the sticky.

Any help is appreciated.

Your 4028325 number (fuel filter) is a number short (7 instead of 8). Perhaps that is why you could not find a cross.
There are crosses for the hydraulic and HST filters since they are the same as other LS models. The oil and fuel filters are different. Aftermarket may have caught up by now. I haven't looked because I bought my 50 hr. filters from my LS dealer.

Thank you for the help. I just caught up to my first service interval with no breakage issues and plenty of power. Like yourself, i went to a local supplier but will explore saving a few dollars next time.

FYI, I just contacted WIX filters and learned they are working on this application. They have a Wix part number assigned to two of the above filter numbers but nothing is completed for sale yet. Now they have all the other factory part numbers to research as well. NAPA and Baldwin show no listings at this time.
Hopefully, it won't be long and we can have another source.

I know. The oil and fuel filters are not listed on cross references yet (at least the references I looked at)
Air, hydraulic, and HST are listed since they are the same for many LS tractors.
Eventually the aftermarket will catch up. The tier IV tractors have only been around a couple years. I just did my 50 hour service this past weekend and used the factory filters for oil, hyd, and HST. For the low number of hours I put on mine I have no problem using factory filters when the time comes.
