Comparison 200X vs 200CX loader

I was on deere.com and saw that there are two loaders available for the 2320, one being a 200x and the other a 200cx. I was just curious if anyone could explain the differences and why there is a sizable price difference between the two. Also, I see alot of people purchasing the 2320 on TBN but not many buying the BH with it, any reasons that I should know? If anyone has done a recent price check on a jd 2320 with a 62 MMM, FEL, and a BH lately I would appreciate it if you would toss that in your reply.

I ask myself the same question when I bought my 2320. The answer to your question the 200cx loader is quick disconnect with stand. The 200x does not have the stand. If your planning on using your tractor without the loader more often then with, I would definetely go with the 200cx. It comes on and then back on again in about 5 min.

The only difference is the parking stand...the 200x does not include it and there is not an easy way to remove the loader from the tractor-get the CX for sure.

There are plenty of users with backhoes...but it is a $6k+ option that not everybody needs or can afford, so there will always be more who buy without it.

As far as the FEL they are right. 200cx only advantage is a "Quik-Park" stand, the specs and lift capacities are identical.
As far as a backhoe unit- The 2000 series backhoes are not very capable. If you are planning on digging 6-12" down for sprinklers it is ok, but for the price ~$6,000 it is not worth it. The smallest tractor you should consider if you want a backhoe is a 3320 w/375 or 485.
As far as Price- 2320-FEL-BH-MMM can easily get up to $22-25,000.

I have to disagree. The 46 backhoe is very capable. I've dug many stumps with it, one 30" across. Holes and trenches are no problem, sure beats a shovel.

It isn't as capable as the bigger backhoes, no question about that but as long as you don't expect to much to fast you won't have any problems. Any tractor backhoe is much less capable than the Ford 555 I use to use

They are expensive but can do a lot of work, just give it time. If backhoe work is your main task then get as big a one as you can afford. As for the loader, get the CX if you plan to remove it

Taking the 200CX on and off is a breeze. It's well worth the extra cost, unless you plan to use the tractor with the loader all the time.

I think that many people that have 2320 or 2520 tractors use them for mowing with a MMM, just like I do. With that in mind, the FEL gets in the way when maneuvering around objects while mowing. So being able to just drop it off in a couple minutes is a great feature. Having the MMM also becomes a problem with the BH because there is a frame that goes under the tractor and prevents use of the MMM with the BH attached. It even requires you to remove the MMM lift mechanism to install the BH. High cost, limited value, complexity of installation and removal, and space required to store the BH, were all a turn off or me to consider getting one with my 2520.

I priced a 2320 with FEL, 62" MMM and it was $18500 CAN. Got comparable Massey GC2400 for about $5000 less.

That is correct, but it does NOT apply to the 200 series.
