I did a 200 hour transmission filter oil change on my 2210 this weekend. As I undid the oil plug and the oil shot passed my ear missing the bucket by a foot I thought that this is a waste of time and money as the oil looked perfectly good. But you know what, the old FEL has a new zip to it and the HST almost purrs. There wasn't much metal burr on the magnets, which given some of my escapades with the brush hog, was a relief.

deereman,

I know what you mean about the velocity of hydraulic fluid propelled by 3.something gallons of head pressure . . . especially when you figure out the pan you selected to get under the 2210 doesn't nearly hold enough! Anyway, after you figure this out and also conclude that the suction tube needs to be taken off at the top (not mentioned in the owners manual), it all becomes an easy job.

I didn't have a ton of metal in my filter (the dealer did the 50 hr. service), but enough I was glad I did the 200 hr. service.
