Hi, new poster here, my Ford 5000 died on me and I'm not wanting/willing to put anymore money into it so its time to trade it in. One of the local New Holland dealers is trying to sell me a 2008 TT60A 2WD they have on their lot. Anyone have any idea on good pricing for this model or any good/bad comments on this model? I'm in central Illinois, have about 18 acres of pasture will be cutting with Bush Hog Squealer 172. In a couple of years from now, I'll want to add a front end loader for light to medium duty dirt work. Thanks for any comments in advance.

What kind of deal is the NH dealer offering? As far as the tractor goes, it's 47 PTO hp, engine is the same as the NH TN60A, chassis is an older Fiat-Hesston design (66 series if I remember correctly). The Fiat-Hesstons were tough tractors. The TT60A is an entry level utility, a basic, no frills machine.

i think they only come in 2wd, but i could be wrong on that. also, if you're going to get a loader in a couple of years go ahead and get the joystick and mid hydrolics as it will be alot cheaper to get those now then have to re=split the tractor to add that stuff later down the road. all you'd have to do was take your tractor to the dealer and they would put the loader on for you.

The offer is 15675.00 minus 1500 for the Ford 5000, no tax, includes delivery and haul away. The financing is 0% for 36 months right now.

Thanks, I'll inquire with the dealer on getting the hydraulics now and see what that will cost. Thanks for the good info.

would price the loader also, if bought with the tractor, it should qualify for the 0% for 36 months. If bought in a "few" years, you will be paying 10%-12% on the interest for the loader. Low rate financing is on new tractors and implements bought with the new tractor only.

I know they wanted an addition 4995 with the NH Loader, hydraulics, joystick installed but I thought that was high, however I could be wrong since I have never priced new tractors before. Thahks

The TT45A and TT50A are 2wd only, the TT60A and TT75A are available in 4wd. The 620TL loader for the TT60A is not a quick detach from the tractor loader. Your trade allowance is a bit low, basically you're getting $1000 off the price of the tractor and $500 for your tractor. But, if the 5000 has a serious problem, it may only be worth scrap value. The loader price is about right, but is full retail. Loaders don't have a lot of markup, so getting that price down is unlikely. I agree that it would be far better to get the loader in the 0 for 36 months, loader prices will continue to rise and who knows what the interst rate will be in the future. I'd try to get another $1000 or so on the trade.

Where did you get the idea the tractor has to be split to install a loader valve? The loader control valve bolts to the loader mounting frame, so installing it prior to the loader purchase makes little sense. All hydraulic connections between the loader control valve and tractor are external and straighforward. Your guess that the TT60A is only available in 2WD is also incorrect.

just going on what i've been told by JD mechanics. maybe it varies with different makes of tractors? they told me that if i was even SLIGHTLY considering a loader, even if i planned on getting it 10 years from now, to go ahead and install the SVC's because it would cost you out the @$$ to do that down the line. cheaper to go ahead now, even if i wasnt going to purchase the loader at the same time i bought the tractor. i'm sure the mechanics have no interest in what the dealer sells as they aren't the ones who get the sales commision. just helpful advice on their part, and also i've seen it mentioned here dozens of times to do this because its cheaper now, then in the future.
