2008 LA 117 Is There Other Decks That Work?

Hello:

I am looking for a 42" deck for a 2008 JD LA117 Riding Mower. I looking outside of the "New" arena. I have had several people contact with various models of decks from various models of JD lawn Tractors. My question is this.. Will a different model deck work and install properly to my LA117? What models? I currently have someone offering me a deck from a 170 who says it will work?

Any insight from the group members will be deeply appreciated!

Likely it will not fit exactly, if that is what you are looking for. What size deck do you have now?

But try jdparts for different models to compare the deck numbers. If they happen to be the same, they should work if the hangers and draft bail are the same or similar.
