Hi- first post. Looking at a used 07 B7610 but trying to figure out how it fits in size wise with the newer BX and B tractors. It痴 a 5 hour drive to find out its to small. Basically I need it to move/blow snow, firewood, and maintain food plots. Nothing major but we get 250 of snow in the UP of MI and it may sit for 2 weeks between clearing. So I figure I need something bigger than a BX. Thanks!

Cool thanks, New I priced a B2650 but decided I better slow down an pouring money into this and looking at the used end. I also found a '14 BX2670TV which seems to have similar specs but is now considered a subcompact. Its almost like the BX series is the same as these older 7610's or am I not looking at it right? Be nice if a guy could go to a place and see them all....

The bx series is on a smaller frame. Basically same HP but smaller footprint. The bx series will mow better and turn tighter. The b series gives you greater ground clearance and longer lift arms (good for getting access to hookup and greater lifting range). For food plots, I'd dismiss the bx entirely and be looking at a b or l series. I think the l series would better suit you on its larger frame. You will also probably find a better deal on a l vs. a b. The downside is the larger you go, the bigger truck and trailer you need to get it around.

Yep I only have a half ton to tow with so that is a concern. Looking at tractor data the B7610 is strikingly similar to the BX except for tires and ground clearance but maybe that's enough. The food plots are going to be initially put in with an 80 hp rig so I'll only be maintaining them year to year.

I have operated a B7800 with a back-hoe/loader.Nice machine;too small for my uses but still a nice machine and an upgrade from a BX sized machine. My friend tows his with a 1/2 ton truck with no problem.

I've had several of both sizes, and now have a BX2670. Started with a B7500, then B7510, etc.
The B is slightly taller, more ground clearance, slightly longer, and has higher capacities. The best is the B's have dual pumps, so when doing loader work, you don't need to tach up the RPM's like the single pump BX. Unless the BX is tached up, the loader barely moves. The new BX80 series loses quite a bit loader capacity with the skid steer type quick attach. Staying with the BX70 series or earlier help this, but the B has the edge in loader lift, reach, and all, as well as three point lift. Check your needs.
