2007 CK20 HST Stop Solenoid

I replaced the stop solenoid and the timer replay; the solenoid works when the key is turned off but the solenoid does not extend after the timer cuts the 12 volts to the solenoid. I manually push the linkage to the required position to start. Can any other CK 20 owners comment on this issue? Did I get a bad solenoid from the dealer? Tnx.

Maybe the spring inside the cover plate is broken or has come lose. See part #8 in this diagram.

I have not had this issue with my CK20, sorry I can not help.
