Didn't think about asking about this.....
I drive a 2005 Camry. (approaching 300K miles!)
Last winter, the heater fan got weird on me. It has something like 5 positions on the variable speed. It is DEAD on all of them but the highest speed. So you are either on 'off' or 'maximum' fan with nothing in between. First four clicks are dead, then full blast. So I simply turn it on.....off......on.......off to regulate. Having a lower speed would be nice.
Being a bit lazy about it (I'm actually looking around for new car to replace it so working on it has fallen down my priority list) None the less, I thought once, maybe there is a fuse for four speeds, then maybe a higher amp fuse for full fan speed. I figure this would be TOO easy if this is the case.....I'm really presuming it's either the switch or the fan itself. I just stumbled onto another thread that talked about how easy it turned out to be to fix a dead fan so that got me wondering if I'm perhaps making it more difficult than it may be.
Any thoughts on where to look first for my missing speeds?
