Jinma 254
Hi everyone, I have a 2005 Jinma 254 and have recently bought a tipping trailer. I understand of the 2 hydraulic ports at the rear of the tractor, one is flow and the other return. I'd be grateful for any advice as to if/how I connect to these or do I need a separate arrangement?
Thanks.

If there is not a control valve associated with these ports and you only have a "Loop Back" hose connecting ports, its going to take a additional control valve in "circuit" with hoses going to ram on trailer (with quick disconnects).... Try exploring "Power Beyond" setups....

Your "flow" would be "PB" (Power Beyond from previous valve) and it generally goes to a "P" (Power port on downstream control valve) and the "return" is actually a "PB" (Power Beyond) to next control valve in line or if no other valve probably to "T" (Tank) or reservoir...

A picture of your "connectors" on tractor AND on trailer would be geat help for people trying to assist you in getting things setup.... It really helps to know what is available there..

Very rudimentary diagram whats probably involved...

Thank you for that. I'm a complete novice when it comes to hydraulics so really appreciate your advice. I'll get a couple of photos tomorrow and post.

Thanks for your help WranglerX but I think I've sorted it. I dropped the link arms to their lowest point then screwed the knob under the seat down. Connected the pipe to the flow then pulled back on the lever and hey presto, it started to tip. Going to follow up on some of the things you mentioned though because I was thinking of adding a spool valve to operate a hydraulic top link.
Thanks again for your help.

Good information here. My uncle recently acquired this Jinma 254 with a couple of minor issues and he's looking to get a trailer next. We'll take a closer look at it soon after we installed the rotors and ion wheels on the truck and clear the garage.
