2003 JD X 485 Fuel Pump Question

Hello;

I have a bad fuel pump on this John Deere with the FD 711D fuel injected mill. The number on the fuel pump is AM 132755 which Deer says is obsolete. They do say however that they will sell me a total of 7 parts plus a pump for a price over 700.00.
So in doing research on the pump, it appears that Airtex E11001 is a replacement. Any takers?

Why not just get an electric fuel pump of ebay?? a 4-7psi should be plenty..

Engine is fuel injected according to owner's initial post.

I do not see 4 to 7 psi doing much.

X485 uses Kawasaki Engine.

From Kawasaki WSM:

Fuel Pressure Standard:172 to 182 kPa (1.751.85 kg/cm2, 24.9 to 26.4 psi

Fuel pump is also tied into engine computer.

Contacting Kawasaki might provide a less expensive solution. Also suggest you go through the test procedure outlined in the WSM to make certain problem is really the pump.

DEF. get 1 that matches the orig. output..
U can try & fail afew times before u reach that 700.00 price tag..lol
