2002 kubota zd21
hey guys, im new here so any help would be greatly appreciated, i have a 2002 kubota zd21 with 720 hours that i just found out that cylinders #1 and 3 are shot and the engine needs to be rebuilt, from what i understand it was caused do to overheating, the local kubota dealership changed the radiator and did a service on the mower about a year ago, with routine maintenance done since new. my question is how many hours should i have gotten out of this machine and what are my options to get back going again, to say the least i am kind of disappointed with kubota on this issue for what should have been a better investment.
any input would be appreciated, and i can give more info if needed.

It should have lasted longer than that! Did you clean your radiator and air filter regularly?

thanks for your quick reply, yes the air filter was changed or cleaned regularly, as far as the radiator goes it has been checked or flushed as needed during other servicing, my thought is that when it was brought in to kubota last about a 1 -1 1/2 year ago(a trip from **** if i might add, they had it for a month with no call back, they lost my paper work and i had to pick it out of a line up in the shop) for a problem with bogging down or losing power they said it was in the fuel system and changed the fuel tank as well as the radiator, when we got it back it was better but not what i feel it was supposed to be performing at, with another trip back to kubota nothing was discovered. now another independent mechanic tells me the bad news, could this problem be a result of them not properly diagnosing the issue or them not discovering the problem when it was brought in.
please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not a mechanic I'm just trying to figure out the best way to go about fixing this costly repair on what is supposed to be a high quality machine
