First of all, it is a great tractor for my purposes. However, from day one, the 91.3 cu. in. direct injection engine surges at any indication of lugging; is this a normal characteristic of direct injection? It becomes annoying and forces me to "ride" the clutch with fine maneuvering. I talked to the dealership about the issue, and they said, "it is normal??" Can I make any adjustments to improve this problem? Thanx in advance for any info. Also, I have other indirect injection diesel tractors, a (NH 1720, Ford 1500, and a 28 yr. L295 DT I purchased new in 78', that has never had this issue? They all operate near sea level. Also, they are all gear models.
