Does anyone know where to get a spindle for a 2000 industrial (4 cylinder model)? I know these are different than the 600 - 800 series. Are they the same as the 3 cyl tractors?

Yes I believe the 3400 3500 3 cyl had the same axle and possibly a couple other models as well as the 4cyl 4000 light industrial model.

I did some searching on the New Holland site. C0NN3105H is the part number for a RH spindle. This yields no results with any of the aftermarket parts outlets.

I was thinking of buying a 2000 industrial and swapping the steering with my 860 so I would have power steering. I understand that I would have to use the fixed (heavy duty) axle, which wouldn't be a problem. However, it appears that there is no parts availability for these light industrial front axles. This is a deal breaker because the one I was looking at needs a spindle and pretty much all the bushings and thrust bearings.

The spindle from a 3400 'might' fit. They are very close to being the same as a 4 cyl 2/4000 light industrial.
I may know where there is a front axle for one of those. IF he still has it... PM me if interested.
Kirk, the 3500/3550/4400 front axles are very different from a 3400. Nothing from the steering/front axle on those would help him.

Ok UD. You know I'm not a square nose Guy. That's more your field. The radius rods are also different between the Ag and light industrial models not sure about the 3400 how the square nose radius rods would line up with the earlier models.

Ultradog,

It seems that you must know something about the old light industrial models. Would it be correct to say that aftermarket front end parts are not available?

The trouble with the light industrials is there weren't a lot if them made. Just guessing here but the ratio of utility's to L inds was 90% to 10%. So it wasn't practical for an aftermarket parts manufacturer to make them.
I just talked to the guy who has that axle. He does still have it. But the steering arm has been welded onto the spindle.
That wouldn't bother me to fix but it makes it more difficult to send you just the spindle as he's busy enough that he might balk at grinding the weld off to get the spindle out for you. You might want the whole axle or maybe he would just torch off when whole end of the axle and sent it to you that way. Let you grind off the weld, etc.
He is just north of the Twin Cities in MN.
