2 bottom plow

picked up a 2 bottom Dearborn 3 pt hitch plow for my Jinma 284.The problem is the arms are to short,I could get about 5 inches welded on but don't want to use the use of my King Kutter tiller and brush hog.I know last year I posted and had replys that said I would have no problem pulling them.Then some people must be using them.What is the answer on this question.. Many Thanks for any suggestions Slammer

I used my King Kutter and Ford 2 bottom plows with my Jinma 284 and had no issues.

Would a shorter top link help? In what way are the arms too short? Does the plow not fit at all, or is the angle wrong?

The Harbor Freight quick-attach 3-point hitch adds a few inches to the effective length of the arms.

Front colter (wheel) was removed fom the dearborn to make it fit my short armed kubota.

Chris how long are your arms?Tried to remove front sod cutter it was still too close.Meas. some on a Ford *N arms were 32 inches. Thanks for replies Slammer

Were you the one that was trying to use the quick hitch and the lever for adjusting the angle of the plows was in the way?

I use a 2 btm ferg and had to rotate 1 of the 3pt pins from OUTSIDE to INSIDE and pull the sod cutter off one side. I ended up pulling BOTH off as running one didn't make much sense. In the garden I don't need em anyhow and only run the plow every 2 or 3 years to get deeper than the tiller.

Let the neighbor with his 40hp Foton hit his field with the fergie 2 bottom and his didn't know it was there. We put the sod cutters back on it for that job and went back over with tillers (no disks to break it up) after it sat turned over for a couple weeks (2 years ago now.)

Now the JM284 pulled it in sod but without the kickers I couldn't get enough speed to roll it over. Combination of traction & power as it is 2 x 16" Fergi.
