I've been reading for a while, I have 11 acres of old peach orchard and a house to landscape. Mostly will cut the field dig up rocks and push up dead trees. Also have lots of rocks to move about, some take up half a bucket. Will the 1725 do the job for me? What about the price?

1997 NH 1725 tractor, 29hp 4wd, with loader. 360 hours Exc condition. $1250.

I am going to take a look at it this morning. It is with its second owner who knew th first. Someone who thought he needed a tractor but didn't. It has used for bush hogging a couple of fileds and keeping a few drivways clear. Supposedly not a scratch on it.

I am use to a Kubota 7800 series that I borrow from a friend, but I would like to have my own at my disposal instead of marathon tractor work mixed in with the reg 40+, when I get the Kubota for a week or so.

Thanks in advance for the input, I'll post more on it after I see it.

Is $1250 a typo??? Is it $12,500??

Yes it is $12,500.

The trees are peach trees 8 or 10inches some are dead but the roots are still strong. I have been able to knock over and dig up most that I have tried with the Kubota 7800 that I borrow, but some are still strong and break off about a foot from the ground. and dont want to come up. I guess it would be easier if the ground is wet/soft. and easier when I perfect my technique.

The one that I looked at today was clean, kept under a tarp, the bucket was thicker it seamed than the new kioti and Massey that I looked at. I does have liquid filled tires. He told me he never had it over 1800 rpms and does his bush hoggin like that, just keeps a sharp blades.
Not sure if I lilke giving up the newer modle advantages. It had 3 speeds plus reverse and High Med and Low for each. Not shuttle shift or hydorstatic. I do have a bunch of dirt to move around and it would be a lot of shifting.
no diferential loc for traction, but don't think thats a big deal.

I guess I have to decide if it is what I want or not. I have gotten use to the Kubota hydrostatic that I borrow.

I told the owner that I had to decide 1 if I wanted Used vs New
2 if I wated clutch vs hydrostatic. 3 Old options like kill switch and key vs just key to shut it down.

And I thought I was ready to by....

I am very, very glad that I kept looking till I found a used one with the Hydro drive.

Every now and then I get on someone else's with gears, and doing the loader / landscape work we do, I am very appreciative of just creeping forward with the hydro pedal.

Price seems in the neighborhood if it is as clean as you say. Little more then I paid for mine, but mine was not exceptionally clean either. (I have a 1925)

I think you will also find that those are "odd year" tractors when you start looking in the aftermarket stuff etc. they just are not mentioned much, but so far all the stuff for a TC 33 I have needed fit.
