I've had my tractor for quite some time now but the hours are still very low. I'm just over the 50 hour mark and I need to know what to do as far as maintanence goes. I had planned to take it to the dealer but biz is really slow right now and I can't afford it.

I assume it needs an oil change - are there other things that need to be done?

Thanks in advance

You need to do an egine oil change. (My dealer recommended changes at 25 50 and 100 for the oil using breakin oil at 25 and 50) You also need to service the transaxle with new Hyguard oil (depending on where you are will dicate the type std or low viscosity)and remove and clean the suction screen in the rear of it and put a new hyd filter on it. All this info is listed in your owners manual under service. Be prepared to spend a few bux as the hyd filter is expensive and if memory serves you need abt 15 liters of hyguard. You should be able to do it all in abt 4 hours taking your time.

I will just add that I did mine myself and you should not be surprised when the pictures in your manual don't match your tractor. For example, the drain plugs for the transmission are in different locations than my manual shows and the part number for the transmission filter is wrong. Still it was worth it to do it myself. It took me about 2 hours even with the manual being wrong - although the dealer had to order the filter twice so that took time before I could even start.

I had trouble when I was putting new hydraulic/transmission oil that it did not show in the sight glass until I ran the rear PTO on high rpms.. I overfilled the transmission and then had to keep draining until it was 3/4 in the sight glass..

good luck.. Nothing too hard about the services

The hardest part for me was removing the original oil filter. I swear that thing was welded on! Just about tore that can right off the filter base before it let loose. However, since that first change it has been a piece of cake getting the filter off.

Make sure you change the transmission filter, and remove the screen and magnets. Look inside the transmission housing after you remove the suction screen/magnets. The transmission on my 2320 was littered with metal shavings. Picture shows a few shavings. Many more were inside. Some stuck to the magnets.

Don't pay attention to the sticker under the hood either. It must be left over from another year tractor.
