Price Check 1999 L2900 with 2800 hours

I have been searching for compact 4wd for a few months. Needless to say I have seen a broad spectrum for prices and conditions of the compact market. I was beginning to think that purchasing new was the way to go. After a few visits to several Kubota dealers it was much like buying a car.

Long story short...I found a used Kubota L2900 GST (no FEL) with 2800 hours that seemed to be well kept. Fluids were clean and no leaks. Engine started and ran with no issues. The only issue I found was a bad LH tie rod. The owner was asking $6900 then down to $6400. We settled at $5750.


Now I'm thinking that I should have been a little more attentive to the hour meter as everything out on the market is claimimg 1000 hours or less.

Did I overpay?

Shootin from the hip, I would say no. Sounds "reasonable" to me.

Last year I paid 13.5K for a B2920 with FEL, with 26 hours. I say you did just fine.

That's a L2900 1999. To Op its a done deal already. Looks from pic to be a clean tractor. Me I can't live without a FEL.

I can tell you that at one time we had the same tractor L2900 w/fel in a wholesale/retail plant nursery operation in Naples, Fl and that little son of a gun was practically indestructible. Dureing the course of a day it was used by maybe 3 different operators. When we sold it most of the body shell was destroyed ,gone, bent, etc on it. It looked like it had been in WW 3.
Don't think you did too bad. I know some gents that have made million dollar mistakes.

It's a nice looking tractor. The seat, tires and paint look good. I would think you did pretty good.
