Hello group,
I've got a CC-7234 with a gear driven transmission. It's got about 650 hours on it. We pretty much use it for dragging our horse riding arena and a large gravel driveway and parking area at our horse farm.
I noticed a couple days ago that it was missing some plugs in the transmission area, one just below and behind the brake pedals but above the foot rest and one just below that and below the foot rest. The holes that the plugs went into seem to go straight into the transmission. Also, I noticed that my transmission fluid level was low even though I don't see any leaks anywhere on the transmission or PTO's.
Questions:
1) Does anyone know what these ports/holes are for and do they indeed lead directly into my transmission?
2) I can't find a cover/plug anywhere to fit close off these ports. Can someone direct me to where I could purchase them?
3) My Cub Cadet dealer says he does not support this tractor anymore. What kind of fluid can I use to refill my transmission after I drain it? I assume that with the open ports the transmission and fluid have been contaminated with arena sand.
Thank you all and Happy Easter!!!
