51 ford 8n 753 bobcat 1955 d7 17a,
I've been trying to get this problem fixed for quite some time. one day i let one of my friends run my bobcat with a backhoe attachment i made that works awesome or at least it did until my auxiliary stuck on and you had to hold the switch one way to do anything since then it works fine as long as the auxiliary wires to solenoids are unhooked im not sure what he did but what i do know is it really sucks not being able to use any attachments. One set of wires has power one doesn't but they seem to feed from same place idno Iv'e exhausted my mind to many times any help would be awesome.

Thanks, derek

Derek, First place I would check is Ignition switch. Turning and holding switch to left sends power to 1 of the coils to release residual pressure in front coupler. On back of the switch terminals are (B)- battery power in, red/wht wire, (ING or Run) - power with key on, (ST) - start, and (SO or ACC) - this is key to left and should only have power or continuity through the switch when held in that position. Disconnect the wire at the SO/
ACC terminal and check for power in the wire and continuity in the switch. If switch is OK, no continuity, but wire has power there is short to power in that wire somewhere. Try there and report back. If that isn't the problem give the first 4 digits of the serial number and list any options machine has such as BOSS, Hi-flow, or Rear Auxiliary.
Does either on or both lights come on in the Auxiliary mode switch without pushing it, as soon as key is turned on?

Have you tried unplugging the solenoids from machine power and using 12v leads from battery, activate each solenoid to see if each solenoid will activate.

You may just have to clean out the valve .

Some solenoid valves have a manual activation. Look for a cap in the center of the solenoid and maybe a push pin to activate the solenoid.

Yeah they both activate if you switch the wires around it works in reverse direction

I checked the switch it seems fine but the wire is showing power even when not hooked to switch so i traced it and cant find a reason why unless it is in that box under cab where harness runs to i see it doesn't look like you can replace that relay on it but i don't know what else it could be. its a 753 mach diesel 2435 last four just has front aux. no other options i know of. Thanks again

I was afraid of that when you said the light was on all the time with the switch. From what I can see in parts breakdowns, that pressure release relay is part of the Auxiliary controller.
