1995 JD 855, High Hours???

I'm looking at a 1995 JD 855 with 1800 hours. Is this considered high? Roughly, how many hours might be considered the useful life of this tractor? All opinions are greatly appreciated.

i have a 755 with almost 5000 hours and it dont even smoke and starts up on the first try every time. 1800 hrs dont seem like a lot to me but then I'm no expert. also it depends on what it was used for before you. of course if it was used by a little ol lady to get grocerys on saturday than its a good deal. but if it was used hard by some landscaping company or some other business i would have it checked out by a dealer in your area. good luck

I have a 755 with 3000 hrs. on it. If you take care of them and service them 1800 is nothing. If it has been abused that is a lot of hours. Mine does not use any oil and seems like the tranny is still strong.
