1983 Ford 1900 PTO Repair

New to the boards, I Have a Ford 1900 that the guy I bought it from said the 540 pto gear is missing tooth. They welded a stop so lever can't be switched to 540 for this reason. My question is how hard is it to change if that's all that is wrong? Also seems like there are not allot of parts, and my searches have come up with nothing. Any info appreciated.

Depends on what gear is missing one I did a kubota once I just parked in fount end in a dich and back end on ramps so the oil would not run out the hole was a quick job spent longer cleaning it that swapping out the part.

John, the repair is not real difficult. Removing the 3pt top cover is the only way to determine the problem gear(s). I checked New Holland parts online and some of the gears are available, but expensive. Another source would be used parts like West Kentucky Tractor Parts: wkytpstore.com
