1980 Ford 4110 Hydraulics

I bought a 4110 tractor 3 cyl Gas and it has a couple of problems but not sure about them. The tractor turns over but doesn't start, no bigee I dropped it off at a mechanic friend garage. There are a couple of parts I am not familiar with but will figure them out, the 3 point lift ram and the lift body hopefully they will just bolt back together after a good cleaning.
I am not sure where the Hydraulic Return line goes. It is also sitting in a box.
So, couple questions, 1)does the return pipe go inside the rear end? or outside? 2) After the tractor is running can I place the lift cover back on without hooking everything up and drive it home or could I damage something?

ok, I am replying to my own thread. I found out the tube in the picture is for the oil breather off of the valve cover. The tractor is in the shop and has been diagnosed with a bad coil. So went ahead and ordered a new distributor cap and points, plugs and wires. When it is running I will go to Joes shop and put new O-Rings on the 3pt cylinder and valve body. Will post pics on Wed after Christmas.
