1979 ISEKI TX1500F / G174 SAFETY FEATURES

HI, I just purchased my first tractor, a 1979 ISEKI TX1500F / G174. I am concerned about the lack of safety features. Is it possible to install a ROPS? ? where would I go about searching for such a feature? Due to the light weight of this tractor I have also considered adding some weight to this tractor so I can fill the loader lol. Would anyone care to share their experiences of adding a substance such as windshield washing fluid to the tires? Also I have searched the internet for a free service manual with no luck, any help would be appreciated!!

For my tractor I went to local junk yard and got 2 55 gallon drums of used antifreeze.Then tractor suppy carries the adapter to fit on valve stems and attach a hose.Got a pond pump on ebay for 23 bucks and a plastic well footvalve from local farm store.Loaded my tires for less than 75 bucks and the antifreeze will not rot your wheels.You could always go to local fab shop and have them fab up a ROPS or if your handy with a welder make your own.Just be sure its made to bolt to your real axle housings

I was pulling a wood trailer on my G-172 today and I got it a bit tippy on a side-slope I could not avoid. Made me think of a ROPS for the first time. I'd hate to see one of these go over and I wonder if I filled the tires it would help much. At any rate, it got me to thinking, if it did go over, and I did not need an ambulance, what would be the next step to get it running right again? Pull the glow plugs and crank it to clear the cylinders and check all the fluids?

I was once on lawnsite.com forum and remember many of the members who were commercial mowers all saying they take their ROPS off of their mowers first thing. I bet you could call some local commercial mowing companies and pick up a ROPS real cheap and you could fab that baby right on your tractor..

Save some $$$ ... just a thought!

I just purchased a loader assembly like the one that you have but I'm adapting it to a Bolens G194 Can i get you to take a picture of the rear mount (by the rear axle ) for me? Any help would be appreciated . I can not find any drawings or diagrams for this assembly.
