I purchased this 1971 Ford 3400 Utility Tractor a while back. It was started and drove onto the trailer. It has sat on the trailer for several months, then the other day I started it and drove it off the trailer, turned it off, started it again moved it a few feet, cut it off again. I changed the fuel filter and bleed the filter, injector pump, and injectors, but it will not start. I even tried pulling it a short distance, it smoked a lot but never started. How can you check the injection pump? Any ideas on what to check or what could be weong with it? Any info is very much appreciated.

Let's get this straight. It started and ran when you got it. You brought it home and it still started and ran. Then you changed the fuel filter and AFTER that it won't run? Or did you change the fuel filter BECAUSE it no longer ran?

I tried to start it, it would not start, then I changed the fuel filter.

When you bled it, did you get a fuel squirting out of all 3 injector lines at a good rate? Also, is the fuel tank at least 1/2 full?

You may have the top oring laying on top of the fuel filter, restricting fuel.
