Well guys I just went and looked at a very well kept "69" jd 110. I felt the engine before the seller started it, very cool to touch (started right up, no tapping, smoke, everything works, etc.)

I'm mulling it over, but I guess the real issue is this one slope. My cratfsman LT2000 stalls going up it, fuel starves, otherwise the LT is fine.

Anyone with a older deere 110? will it keep running? The only use will be to pull a cart by the way.

I can't say for sure it won't starve for fuel, but I doubt it as long is the tank is kept above half. I can say it will have no trouble pulling or getting traction on the slope. Will all this new stuff out there, the good old Deere 110 can still beat the guts out of a lot of it. It's made out of this strange stuff, I think they used to call it metal?? :)

Thanks for the reply Fordlords, I don't have a problem keeping to tank full, so that's one solid vote in favor. Not surpising to feel how heavy it is, and it will look good next to the 770.:D

The guy is selling it with a parts machine, snowplow, and chains for rear tires. Does $500.00 sound good to you?

$500 sound pretty good. Just keep in mind that the motor in that is splash lubed and if operated at an angle on slopes can in some cases be starved for oil.

My, new to me, cart puller.

I used a 112 during my high school years when I worked on an IL mink ranch. I always liked good gear drive tractors, and those original 100 series are still luxury rides today. Have fun with it, I'll bet it pulls that slope without batting an eyelash :)

That is a cool looking GT, I wish they still made them look like that.

Have fun with it :)

It sure is something the way they go from new toy to just another work vehicle. ;)
