1966 ford 3000 hydraulic filter

I'm, taking off the top cover soon to rebuild at the least she will be getting new piston seals, top gasket set, hyd filter & a pressure safety release valve, while I'm in there I was thinking about removing the original hyd filter & placing it on the outside in which would be10x easier to change, is this modification possible with a filter remote base? Has anyone actually done this?

I've got a pretty good idea & I think it'll work but yes if I get it done I'll let you know, anyways I saw the name your in ky, which part I'm in ky to lol
